One month ago, Lima posted a video of Leon in the “B-Route.Resident Evil 2 was my favourite of the early Resi games.
The video feels like Capcom actually made a remake, but Lima posted on YouTube explaining that this is purely to learn programming. If you take both items, then there would be nothing left in the “B-Route.” If you played “A-Route” with Claire and took the backpack, then the SMG would be available for Leon in the “B-Route” and vice-versa. When you take either item, you have the choice of taking the other item or leaving it for the other person. One example would be obtaining a backpack that added two weapon slots or the sub-machine gun. The first disc contained the “A-Route” and the second disc contained the “B-Route.” Your actions in the A-Route would affect your actions in the B-Route. His first part of the project centers on Claire Redfield in the “A-Route.” If you have played the original Resident Evil 2 game, which came out in 1998, it had two discs. Lima created this version of Resident Evil 2 using a free version of Unreal Engine 3 known as the Unreal Development Kit.
This is what Rod Lima did, but he neither calls his work a remake nor has plans to release his version of Resident Evil 2 to other players.
Your best bet would be to remake it yourself in a nonofficial capacity. It seems highly unlikely that Capcom will bother remaking those titles because of the amount of work it would take, especially when game developers are moving on to make games for solely the current-generation consoles. If you said yes to any or all the Resident Evil titles mentioned above, neither hold your breath nor give up your hopes.
